Staff Welfare Activities

The members of the Award/Supervising staff are eligible for the following kinds of Welfare activities:

1.      Provision of canteen facilities

2.      Provision of Libraries

3.      Sports and games (Indoor and outdoor)

4.      Cultural activities

5.      Holiday-cum-convalescent homes

6.      Provision of educational scholarships, etc. to sons and daughters of employees

 

Award of Scholarship

A scheme for award of scholarships to the children of the employees is in operation. The scholarship would be awarded to the children of the employees (subject to a maximum of 2 children) who secure marks as under from III standard onwards:-

  For Initial Sanction For renewal
For Clerical Staff (other than SC/ST) 60% 55%
For Clerical Staff (SC/ST) 50% 45%
Sor Subordinate Staff (other than SC/ST) 40% 40%
For Subordinate Staff (SC/ST) 40% 40%
For deaf, dumb, blind and mentally retarded children of employees of all categories 40% 40%

 

Quantum of Scholarship: The rates of scholarship applicable to children of all categories of Staff are as under:

 

Standard Rate (Per annum)
4th & 5th standards Rs.600/-
6th, 7th & 8th Rs.1000/-
9th & 10th Rs.1200/-
11th & 12th Rs.1500/-
Graduate level for ordinary courses viz. BA, BSC, B.Com etc. Rs.1600/-
Post graduate level i.e. MA,M.Com, M.Sc etc . Rs.2100/-
Graduate/Post graduate level for professional courses in Medicine.Engineering.Management studies etc. Rs.2700/-

N.B.: An additional sum of Rs.200/- per month will be payable to the disabled children in addition to the scholarship payable to them.
