N O T I C E
Notice is hereby given to all members of State Bank of India Staff Association, Bengal Circle having its Registered Office at 13, Crooked Lane, Kolkata – 700 069 that the 7th Triennial Meeting of Circle General Council will be held on the 21st & 22nd November 2010 at Nazrul Mancha & Mahajati Sadan, Kolkata to transact the following business.
To adopt General Secretary’s Report on the working of the Circle Committee for the period from 1st October 2007 to 31st October 2010 together with the Audited Statement of Accounts from 01.01.2007 to 31.12.2009 of the Circle Secretariat of the Association as approved by the Circle Committee
To consider proposals for Amendment to the Rules and Constitution of the Association as recommended by the Circle Committee for onward recommendation to the Central Committee for consideration of the Triennial General Meeting.
To elect Office bearers of the Circle Committee and Delegates to the Triennial General Council of the Association.
To consider Notice(s) of Resolutions as recommended by the Circle Committee
The Inauguration Ceremony of the 7th Triennial Circle General Council will take place at 3 p.m. on the 21st November 2010 followed by Delegate Session. The election of the Office bearers of the Circle Committee and also Delegates of the Triennial General Council of the Association shall take place on 22nd November 2010 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. by taking recourse of SECRET BALLOT in term of the decision of the Circle Committee.
Nomination Papers are, therefore, invited from the Regular Members of the State Bank of India Staff Association, Bengal Circle for the following posts :-
One Circle President, Two Circle Vice Presidents, One General Secretary, One Dy. General Secretary (Hq.), Two Assistant General Secretaries (Hq.), One Circle Treasurer and One Assistant Circle Treasurer, One Dy. General Secretary and Two Assistant General Secretaries for Commercial Network (Mid Corporate), Twenty Five Zonal Secretaries.
Each Administrative Module i.e. Kolkata, Howrah, Bidhannagar, Burdwan and Siliguri shall have the posts as under :-
One Deputy General Secretary for each Module.
Three Assistant General Secretaries for each Module including
One Assistant General Secretary each for Gangtok (Siliguri Module) and Port Blair (Bidhannagar Module) Regional Office.
Six Regional Secretaries for Kolkata Module
Four Regional Secretaries for Howrah Module
Six Regional Secretaries for Bidhannagar Module
Four Regional Secretaries for Burdwan Module
Four Regional Secretaries for Siliguri Module
Total Post of Office bearers of the Circle 81
NOTE : (a) As per provision of the Constitution, the Circle Treasurer and the Assistant Circle Treasurer should be elected from amongst the members posted at the Head Quarter i.e. Kolkata.
(b) Members from any Branch / Office within the Circle can be elected as the Deputy General Secretary and Two Assistant General Secretaries of the Commercial (Mid Corporate) Module.
(c) Deputy General Secretary and Assistant General Secretaries of a Module shall be elected from the members attached to a Branch / Office of the respective Module and the Assistant General Secretaries for Regional Offices beyond Module Centre and Regional Secretaries shall be elected from amongst the members of any Branch of the respective Region of the Bank.
The number of Delegates to be elected to form the General Council of the Association : 50 (fifty).
Members desiring to contest in the ensuing election for any post of the Office bearers and / or
Delegates to the General Council of the Association as mentioned here-in-above are requested to
submit the Nomination Forms to the undersigned as per proforma as in Page 3 within the specified period as enumerated in the schedule below :-
1)Date of Publication of Provisional Delegates’ List (Any change of Delegate in terms of Rule 42(b) of the Constitution shall have to be intimated to the undersigned
By the Unit within 03.11.2010. The said list will be displayed on the NOTICE BOARD of the Association at 13, Crooked Lane, Kolkata – 700 069) ….. 05.11.2007
2)Last date of submission of Nomination Paper….. 10.11.2010 (upto 5 p.m.)
3)Date of Scrutiny of Nomination Paper ….. 10.11.2010 (7 pm.)
4)Last date of Withdrawal of Nomination Paper…. 12.11.2010 (upto 3 p.m.)
5)Date of publication of final list of candidates (to be displayed on the NOTICE BOARD of the Association)….. 2.11.2010 (after 5 p.m.)
6)Date and Time of Election….. 21.11.2010 (from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
7)Venue of Election (actual place of Booth will be notified on 21.11.2010)….. Mahajati Sadan, Kolkata
8)Counting of Votes….. Immediately after the Polling
Members are requested to note that the Delegates are required to attend the Conference with their Identity Cards of the Bank or a Certificate from the concerned Branch Manager with his/her signature attested thereon.
Comrade Surendra Nath Das of Taki Branch has been authorized to conduct the Election as President Officer by taking recourse to SECRET BALLOT which is scheduled to be held on 22nd November 2010 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Only Representatives of the Branches with membership below 5 will be permitted to attend the Circle General Council as Observers, who, however, shall have no voting right.
Reception Committee has already been constituted to conduct the affairs of the Circle General Council. The Delegates Fee / Observer Fee shall be Rs.200 each. All are requested to co-operate for the smooth conducting of the Circle General Council.
